'The Blood' – the whole of Christ's atoning sufferings in body and soul. A look at 1 Peter 1:18-19 & Rev. 7:14. Comparison of Biblical & Reformed view with liberal, R.C. & American Dispensationalist views. (For more info. on the views of the Protestant Reformers, Puritans & co. on 'The Blood' visit our website at http://www.loughbrickland.org/articles/quotes.shtml )
- 'The Everlasting Covenant' – Christ's blood called the blood of the New Testament, not because sinners were saved any other way previously, but because his blood was actually shed under the new administration of the Covenant of Grace, though both Old & New taught the same way of salvation. It is called everlasting because Christ's merits endure forever and bring everlasting benefits of peace with God, fellowship with God and life eternal to all of God's elect.
- 'Resurrection Through the Blood' – God raised Christ from the dead because His blood was shed and the atonement complete. 'It is finished' – the rending of the veil of the temple. Application – John 3:36.
