Faithful City or Unfaithful Harlot

III. Yahweh puts Judah's social practices on trial.
A. You were once a faithful city.

1. Once full of justice and righteousness (vs. 21c-d).
2. Now full of the dross & mixed wine of idolatry & murder (vs. 21 b, e, 22).
3. Led by unjust and righteous rulers (v. 23).
   B. You will be a faithful city.
4. Led by the divine, all-powerful ruler (v. 24).
5. Purified by a refining fire (v. 25).
6. Justice and righteousness restored (v. 26).
   a. Justice brings redemption (v. 27a).
   b. Righteousness to those who repent (v. 27b).
   c. Consuming judgment to those who continue to rebel (vs. 28-31).
