5 - A divided city

Main Point: Unless you fear God you will not seek the good of others but selfishly seek to gain from them. But remember its only in Christ that you can walk in the fear God and so are generous to others.

1. Beware of the temptation to use others for gain v1-5
2. When you see injustice, you can't simply walk away v6-8
3. Since you are to walk in the fear of God, You are not only to react to injustice but actively seek to stop it v8-11
4. You are to see that doing the right thing will bring blessing but doing the wrong thing brings curse v12-13
5. Nehemiah's generosity and sacrifice points to the generosity and sacrifice of Christ who does more than motivate you but enables you to walk in the fear of God v14-19
