4 - The sword and the trowel

Main Point: As Christ faced opposition so will you be opposed when you seek to build the kingdom. Your response should be to trust God despite the suffering and continue serving him.

1. You will at the very least be mocked and laughed at v1-3
2. Your response to opposition should be to pray to God v4-6
3. You will be opposed because of your Christian faith but remember that while God is sovereign you are also responsible V7-9
4. Remember God is great and fight your discouragement or it will grow v10-12
5. You are to support each other by reminding each other that God will fight for us v15-23
