God Has Found His Man

One of the most remarkable men in all of history, and especially in Biblical history was King David. God spoke of David as a “man after my own heart.” David sought after God, was obedient to God, spoke with God, was lead by God, was appointed King of Israel by God. Even though David was not perfect and sinned grievously, he repented, confessing his sin to God, and received forgiveness. He was blessed above all the kings of Israel in the prosperity and security of that nation, even in the midst of endless conflict. His reign as King became the primary standard to judge all other Kings in Israel. As the Psalmist, David brings us to the very throne of worship of God and has inspired God's people ever since. This series will explore the history and character of this man, the events and culture that God used to shape him and the ways in which David shaped history itself.
