James the Just, An Example for Preachers
Series Gleanings from James Series
114
'The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools' (Ecclesiastes 9:17). James, a prominent figure in the early church, was known as James the Just. Though he was a pillar, he had a meek and lowly spirit, like his Master did. Those who lead must remember their Lord's words and example that whosoever would be great must be a servant. Let in them first be found the qualities that they would want in their church members. Good doctrine and good life go together. The flock should follow the pastor as he follows Christ.
