(2) Evangelism's Sovereignty #2

Jesus told His disciples that He would make them evangelistic fishers of men. In this foundation-laying message we explore the relationship between John chapter six and then chapter twenty one, developing an understanding of the Lord's Sovereignty in Gospel fishing. The fishermen may fish all night and yet catch nothing, but when the Lord says, “cast on the other side” the nets sovereignly come up full. Evangelism's Sovereignty gives us great confidence that the Lord's method and message will work in every culture in every generation. We don't need a fancy new net, or a nifty new net throwing technique, or to question the validity of net use altogether. We simply need to obey the Lord in casting the Gospel net forth and then watch as He sovereignly fills it with men and women that He is calling to Himself.
