When Worship is an Abomination

False worship is often accepted as innovative and on the cutting edge. It has crept into many a church without being noticed. In fact today, churches are being modeled after the mall with food courts, novelty shops, entertainment centers, and theatre-styled worship where actual movie clips are viewed as part of the sermon.

And yet there is nothing new under the sun. Though packaged differently, Hophni and Phinehas were on the cutting edge of the worship revolution in their day. What they were doing was innovative. And amazingly it was accepted by most Jews. Yet it displeased God!
