We remain in the Old Testament for the evening sermon, taking the incredible passage of 2 Kings 11. This text will define for us the meaning of Canons of Dort 2.9. As we read and ponder His Word He will guide us to understand His will and way with us. Pray for the Lord's kind but firm hand as He leads us to know Him better and better.

Theme: God's plan of preserving His elect has never nor can ever fail, no matter Satan's efforts

1. Note the clear fact that believers could not see what God was doing

2. The actions of antichrist run headlong into Divine strategy

3. Jehosheba and Jehoiada are of no account, except in God's plan

4. Through conquest, there is peace in the realm
