Creation, Providence & Your Heart

Doctrine should not be like so much wedding china, that sits on a shelf, looks pretty and brings some sophistication and class to a room, but is never used to feast upon as much needed for sustenance for our souls. Whether or not we know what is true, does not make it more or less true, and what the Catechism reminds us of is that God as Creator and Sustainer ought to be the very heart and foundation of our eternal comfort. To contemplate, and to apply the truth that God is both Creator and Sustainer of all things, and that His providence is designed for our good, and the greatest testimony and surety of this is that we have seen Christ given to save us.
