The Reason Why Jesus Had to Die

Here, in these 19 words, we have the most wonderful truth in all the world and the most glorious truth in the whole Bible; they declare what God has done to save people from sin and death. God redeems, or buys His people, out of slavery from sin, through the blood of Christ. The suffering and death of Christ is the price God paid in order to forgive people and give them life with Him forever. This special, one-of-a-kind death of Jesus Christ is the central event in the history of all creation. The death of Jesus is the only possible way God could save guilty sinners. This verse expresses the infinite value of Christ's death and, by doing so, directs our attention to the reasons Jesus had to die.
