An Atmosphere of Love

Like fish out of water, so are Christians who live day by day without an ongoing experience of God’s love for them. Love is the atmosphere we thrive in, because it is always God’s disposition toward His children. We are never outside of God’s active love, and this reality informs our outlook, and our relationships with others. “God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.” 1 John 4:16 (NKJV) John the Apostle is burdened that believers not only know of God’s love intellectually, but that they truly experience His love through the Holy Spirit.
