- Biblical teaching on membership of the visible and universal church.

- no unbaptised member of the church of Christ found in the NT, Rom 6:3; Gal 3:27; Mark 16:16.
- Baptism always had one meaning but admission to it two routes. Professing believer's and their children recognised as candidates for baptism and admitted as members of the visible church. Acts 8:36-38; 1 Cor 7:14.
