The Scriptures teach that “whatsoever is not of faith is sin.” Since fear is not of faith it is therefore sin. To be consistently fearful is to be consistently faithless.

God, however, anticipates that His people, as a result of their weakness will often fall prey to fear. In light of this He admonishes us to “fear not.”

Since fear is a very real aspect of life how should the Christian deal with it? What do the Scriptures teach as to the practical implications of fear and the practical directives in coping with it?

This sermon explores some of the debilitating work of fear in the life of the faithful.
