Do demons go to church? According to Mark’s gospel, they do. And they’re quite at ease in a religious setting where man’s ideas replace God’s. Satan’s minions make little fuss when religious form displaces substance, when heads are But evil is exposed and evicted in the powerful presence of Christ, who is the truth. “… they were astonished at Jesus’ teaching, for He taught them as one having authority...” Mark 1:22 (NKJV) Jesus’ authority is the very power of God. In His presence, evil is unmasked, its purveyors silenced, its captive souls set free. At Christ’s word, demons flee. “Jesus rebuked (the demon), saying, "Be quiet, and come out of him!" Mark 1:25 (NKJV)
