Eternity and not fainting in time

Bodily and temporal afflictions are no cause of shame to God's people but preparatives to an eternal glory.

1. Present sufferings aim at future glory v16. The reason why believer's are to faint not.
2. Future glory begun within the present corruptible body v16. The new creation realised inwardly not outwardly (as to the physical body) in this world.
3. This world and the world to come v17. A contrast between the two ages.
4. The eternal things unseen v18. We must live not for temporal things but for eternal.
