The True Prophet

Our sinful nature makes us ignorant– ignorant to both the nature of our deadly predicament in sin and to the redeeming grace of God. We need someone to speak to us what we do not know and show us what we cannot see. To this end, God has sent his prophets. And in these last days, he has sent his Son, Jesus Christ. As the True Prophet, Jesus not only speaks to us or shows us the truth of God, he saves us to the utmost. It is not by bread alone, but by this Word– the living, incarnate Word of God that we live.
