War & the Fruit Trees

In this chapter are stipulations for warring against Israel's enemies. First the priest encourages the people. Second, an officer releases that should not go to war, and appoints leaders for the troops. Third, Israel affords the enemy terms for surrender. And fourth, a warning not to cut down the fruit trees.
