The Desire For Spotlessness

Our Pastor preaches the introductory message of a new series. He demonstrates that most people have a compulsion to be spotless in at least one area of life. Was Jesus "spotless" in the sense that He may have had no external, physical birthmarks? Or, was He spotless in the internal, spiritual sense? Are we more concerned about spotlessness in the material realm than we are about our purity in the spiritual realm?
