Strong in The Faith

Abraham was strong in personal faith. Paul said he was "persuaded". However, that is not what is intended in our verse. The translators omitted the article before faith, making it "the faith". That is the settled body of truth of which Christ is author and subject. God preached that message to Abraham. He believed it and became strengthened in it. As others, he rested in it.
