The last chapter of 2 Timothy is a series of Paul's final thoughts. He opened with giving his closing "charge". It's a word filled with emotion. He was seeking to transfer his strong and present sentiment for Christ, His Gospel and related matters to Timothy. He set his "charge" against the background of the Lord's final appearance to come and His judgment to follow.
