The Peace of Christ, Pt. 2

Continuing in Paul's exhortation of Colossians 3:14, 15, we see from Christ's prayer (John 17:22, 23) His purpose for the believers in three purpose clauses. First, that the believers experience union with Christ—that they are one body in Christ. Second, that they grow into the understanding of a state of harmony—the peace of Christ—through unity in the union. Third, so that the world may see that Christ came from the Father and see the love which motivated the gospel.
