Self-Righteousness vs. Christ

Sermon Point: Reject self-righteousness in favor of knowing Christ.

Sermon Outline:

1. You and I must disown all self-righteousness (vs. 2-6, 9).
2. Self-righteousness is rubbish in relationship to Christ (vs. 7-9).
3. Your goal is to know Christ and Christ's righteousness (vs. 8-9).
4. When this is true, you enjoy His resurrection power (vs. 10).
5. You also enter into Christ's sufferings and death (vs. 10).
6. The final outcome is enjoying His bodily resurrection (vs. 11).
   And so, reject self-righteousness in favor of knowing Christ.
