Genesis 1:1-2:3
Genesis 2:4-7, 18-25

1. Man Is Special: Man was created for a purpose
   a) Man is special: God didn’t have to create Man
   b) Man is special: God created Man for a purpose

2. Man Is Special: Fearfully and Wonderfully Made
   a) Man is Unique: A thoughtful act of God
   b) Man is Unique: An immediate act of God
   c) Man is Unique: Body and Soul
   d) Man is Unique: Male and Female

3. Man Is Special: Created in the Image of God
   a) Is Man still the Image of God ?

   • Was anything of the “image” lost in Man’s Fall? Col 3:10, Eph 4:24
   • Does anything of the “image” remain after Man’s Fall? Gen 9:6, Jas 3:9
     b) What is this “Image of God” ?
   • True knowledge, righteousness and holiness
   • (before): soul, one-flesh relationship etc
   • Communicate with each other

   • All ways we differ from animals

4. Man Is Special: What if we don’t believe this ?
   a) Moral Breakdown
   b) Communication Breakdown
   c) Relationship Breakdown
   d) Dehumanising the Image of God
   e) Aborting the Image of God
   f) Euthanizing the Image of God
