Historical Activism

On today's program, I will speak with Janie B. Cheaney, Author, and Senior Writer for World Magazine. Janie has recently written an article for World about the late historian and ideologue, Howard Zinn - best known for his book, "A People's History of the United States" published in 1980.

In her article about Zinn, Cheaney questions his assumptions that the people, if not oppressed by European or American imperialists, will always seek justice and equality. She concludes that was Zinn, and other ideologues like him, seem to forget is human nature.
