In John chapter 4, Jesus is talking to a Samaritan woman and telling her that the water he has to offer her will make her thirst no more. The Samaritans were outsiders in the eyes of the Jews. Jesus came to save not only the Jews, but those who were considered outsiders as well, which included Samaritans and Gentiles.
