The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse

44 ( 33 | 11 )

We live in a world that is increasingly losing its belief or understanding of the eternal and spiritual. We live in the moment and for the moment. We are the carpe diem generation with little consideration of either the temporal or eternal consequences of what seizing the moment entails. Solomon calls this kind of thinking as living "under the sun" in the book of Ecclesiastes. The modern term for preoccupation with worldly things and instant gratifications of the flesh is the word secular. Secular denotes attitudes, activities, or other things that have no religious or spiritual basis. In other words, secular thinking gives no considerations to God or the spiritual consequences of choices. We are the "under the sun" generation just like before Noah's flood.
