Luther and the Sacrament

What role does the imagination play in science and theology? For Luther, an imaginative "What if?" reminded Christians of the almighty power of God, and provided models as possible ways to reconcile apparent contradictions in science and theology. Nowhere is this better seen than in the Lord's Supper, the so-called "sacrament" of the bread and the wine. Here, Luther replaced Aristotle with the Bible and a bold Christology--too bold, according to his Reformed opponents.
