A House of Prayer for All Nations

While we wait for the new heavens and new earth, God works in us.

1. He promotes a new obedience.
   How then can we live? Ezekiel 33:10
   …that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us… Romans 8:3-4

2. He promotes a new orientation.
   Following a quote from Jonathan Edwards, he speaks of the new man:
   “Blessed are the poor in spirit, those who mourn, the meek, etc.
   “You are the salt of the earth... “You are the light of the world… Matthew 5:3-16
   The Sermon on the Mount describes the new righteousness. For example, the re-created man loves the Lord’s Sabbath, his resurrection day.
   I, John, was on Patmos in the Spirit on the Lord's day
   …but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. Revelation 1:9-10, Revelation 22:2-3

3. Promotes a new openness.
   [God said to Isaac,] ...And in your offspring all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because Abraham obeyed my voice and kept my charge. Genesis 26:3-5

…has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility Ephesians 2:11-13
