Not What You Would Expect

This message was given by Pastor Jonathan Stobbs as he continued his evening ministry in the Book of 1 Samuel.
When things look bleak, where does your hope lie? This message underlines the truth that God's purposes are never thwarted, and even when we cannot see the way forward, the God of the Bible is He who knows the end from the beginning. When Samuel is in the depths, God gives him the encouraging work of anointing the new king, David. Pastor Stobbs speaks of how God firstly deals with Samuel to set him from mourning to service, and teaches Samuel that God looks not on the outward appearance but on the heart.
