The Third Commandment - You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain

How should you obey God by keeping this commandment? To do that, you need to know three things:

1.  The Scope of the Commandment
   

2.  The Negative Prohibitions ­ i.e. how you go about not taking the name of the Lord in Vain
   

3.  The Positive Requirements ­ i.e. how you should go about reverencing the name of the Lord
