In the sad events that transpired to remove Saul from the throne and usher in the kingship of David, the Philistines won an unprecedented victory and Israel became amazingly vulnerable. This sermon, while surveying the big picture, comes to focus upon four individuals during this chapter of the story: Saul, Jonathan, an Amalekite, and David.
