God Put It In My Heart

God Put It In My Heart

I'm grateful and ever thankful for God's personal interest, involvement and investment in my life. And knowing it delights Jesus to use every day missionaries, like myself, to do extraordinary things, no doubt, is extraordinary itself.

I keep seeing something, as I walk through Nehemiah… the Lord stirring the right people, in the right place, accepting the right position, with the right promises, to deal with the right problems — for the glory of God and the good of His people.

"Then my God [put it] in my heart..." (Nehemiah 7:5)

Think about this with me? The carefully placed word and way of God being intentionally imparted, within the servants of God, to accomplish and affirm the unparalleled work of God. Don't miss this… The Lord never puts His word in us, without laying out His work and wisdom before us. His instructions and insights are for wisdom, life and touching others with His grace and glory.

I love this…

"Then my God [put it] in my heart..." (Nehemiah 7:5)

When I read over and pondered this thought this morning, I was reminded when King David rejoiced over the gladness that God had put in his heart.

Ponder this for a moment. He said, "You have PUT gladness in my heart, MORE than in the season that their grain and wine increased. I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety." (Psalms 4:7-8)

I then began to chew on that familiar phrase: "Put more in it!" …
