Greater Works Than These

Pastor Tim Goad, coming off the doctrine of the deity and oneness of CHRIST and the FATHER, brings us to the sometimes misunderstood, or worse, misrepresented, verse in which CHRIST points to the greater works HIS disciples, and by default, all HIS children, would do upon HIS death, resurrection and ascension, through the coming of the now indwelling HOLY SPIRIT. In this HE is not speaking to a continuation of the apostolic gifts or that we would be able to perform greater works than HE in HIS deity, but that of our obedience to evangelism, preaching, teaching, discerning and spreading HIS word to a lost and dying world. We live in a time in which we have the closed canon, have many language translations, modern technology and the indwelling HOLY SPIRIT to lead us into all understanding, yet far too often we quench the HOLY SPIRIT and seek to replace HIS word with our own will and pragmatism and pride. HE is holy and so we should, need to, seek to be holy.
