Christ in the Old Testament Pt 4

In the 4th installment in this series, we will focus on the prophesies of Jesus Christ in book of Genesis, all the way up to Simeon holding the baby, Christ the incarnate God, in his arms. It is recommended you listen to this message with a pen a pad in in hand, to write down and have future access to, the scripture references. It is also recommended you listen to this message at least 2 times. The monumental nature of the prophesies concerning Christ and how he fulfilled them, almost mandates this.

In John 5:39 Jesus said, "...search the Scriptures... these are they which testify of Me.

Our Lord's words are underscored in the N.T. as the writer to the Hebrews speaks of Jesus Christ. Heb 10:7 Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come; In the volume of the book it is written of Me; To do Your will, O God.'” Do you you know where that is found in the O.T? Psalm 40:7.

The value of this study could not be manifested better than to see how Paul the Apostle ministered with the only Bible he had, which was the O.T. scriptures. Acts 17:2-3 Then Paul, as his custom was, went in to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures explaining and demonstrating that the Christ had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and saying, “This Jesus whom I preach to you is the Christ.”
