The Role of Fathers in Dating Relationships

It should be obvious to all that American marriages are in trouble, and that the dating scene has left many with deep emotional scars and wounded consciences. Are there timeless Scriptural truths that we can turn to to help us as we shepherd the souls of our children in regards to their romantic interests? Indeed there are. This is the first of several Bible studies taught at our monthly Sons of the Resurrection discipleship group. In this first study we lay down two fundamental principles of dating and courtship: 1. Sons leave but daughters are given, and 2. A girl's father plays a unique and pivotal role in any type of courtship.
