Sacred Sacrament

Once again I will preach a sermon in the series The Worship That Pleases God, and we will bring to a conclusion the section indicated above. Having considered the elements of sacred word, sacred song, sacred music, and sacred prayer, I want to explore the related element of sacred sacrament. By the word sacrament I am referring to the divinely instituted ordinance of the Lord's Supper. When we come to the Lord's Table and partake together of the Lord's Supper we are observing one of the elements of worship prescribed by God. In fact, it is a unique and special time of worship that should be practiced frequently. The key word related to this sacred sacrament is remember, and I will highlight that theme in every point of the sermon. Through the preaching of His sacred word may the Lord will be pleased to grant us a great measure of spiritual discernment and heavenly wisdom.
