Virtue of Patience

Patience is little seen today in this world of instant gratification. Nevertheless, the Lord tells us in His word to endure under the trial set before us and to seek His wisdom in the midst of the trial. However, wisdom does not simply come by asking; it is by studying the Scriptures and living accordingly to the glory of God. We must not simply know the word; we must do the work. If we do not serve the Lord as He instructs us in His word, with a quiet spirit, then our religion is vain.
