The Latter Parables Of Jesus 18

93 ( 66 | 27 )

INTRO: In the first message on this parable we looked at Matthew 25:31-32a (read). We said we have two events here that are separated by a period of time. The first event is when the Lord Jesus comes from heaven with all His holy angels. The second event is when He sits on the throne in His glory to judge the nations. We saw that many events happen in between these two. Some Jews who have fled Jerusalem are holed up in the hills, and the Lord goes there to liberate them. Jerusalem is in the death-grips of the enemy, and the Lord delivers them. This is clear from Zechariah 14. The battle of Armageddon then takes place. And in my view, when all is said and done before the people of Matthew 25 are gathered together for judgment, all unbelievers will have died.
Well, look at Matthew 25:31-32, "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.” And let me now ask you this question I did not have time for in the last message: Where will this judgment take place? Washington DC? Moscow? Well, or Ottawa? Certainly not in Ottawa. Or, could it be Jerusalem? Or can we even know?
