The Church's Relationship to the State: Circa Sacra Not In Sacris

Christ alone has the right to govern the affairs of His Church through HIs officers as they engage in their sacred duties of leading God's people in divine worship. The Church may not intrude in the duties of the State, nor may the State intrude in the sacred duties of the Church.
