The Call of God

We see in the healing of blind Bartimaeus many elements seen in the person who God is calling to salvation. For example, there's the persevering cry of mercy, the confessions within his cry, and the eventual healing. And what does the man or woman saved by God do with their new liberty? They go right back into service, only this time it's the service of Jesus, an altogether wonderful place to be. They join Jesus Christ in the way. Like Bartimaeus, all who God calls from the roadside end up on the road that leads to eternal life.
