Chosen & Beloved

As the chosen ones of God, Christians are both holy (set apart in Christ) and beloved. Our holy conduct is a result of God's work. He sets us apart and produces Spirit-led righteous conduct because he loves us. This text describes what practical holiness looks like. But it also reminds us that the holy practice is a result (rather than the cause) of God's loving us and setting us apart.
