Fraternizing with the enemy

Fraternizing means to associate ourselves with certain people. In this case though David is hanging out with the enemy of his people Israel, and this put him in a difficult position. His association is wrong and we as Christians have a tendency to also hang out with the wrong crowd for various reasons. Have we been hanging with the enemy instead of God lately?
