God's Pardon for Sin's Corruption

527

The prophet Micah surveyed the awful scene that was the legacy of apostate religion. He saw the widespread corruption in society from the prevalence of violence and bloodshed to the perversion of the processes of government. He saw the wreckage in the relationships of friends and families, and saw that there was no hope in society to cure any of those ills. He looked to the Lord and saw in Him the One Who is able to pardon iniquity. This chapter stresses the uniqueness of God in His grace of justifying the ungodly on the ground of Christ's sacrifice.
