God's Learning Servant

His eyes are closed and his breathing is slow and deep; He is asleep. His sleep has been well-deserved because He works long and hard. What motivates Him?

He is motivated by the fact that God Himself wakes Him up every morning, gently, personally, lovingly, proudly. God wakes Him up to speak to Him in wonderful communion. This is the Servant of Jehovah.

It is in these times when God communes with Him, that he comes to understand more clearly, the mission God has called Him to. He is built up and energized for the day that lies ahead. He is prepared, like the day before, to face thousands who hate Him and want to see Him dead. He is not fearful; rather, He knows He will live boldly and successfully through each day until He accomplishes the mission His Father has given Him to accomplish.

The Servant of Jehovah is sustained by God, therefore He endures. He doesn't endure without knowing what will happen at the end of His life, rather, He endures knowing He will succeed. It is critical for the world to know about this Servant because He will impact the lives of every living person. Either you will be impacted to the point where He becomes your very life, through His saving life-work for you, or you will find another life-agenda that will tickle your fancy. You will do what you prefer to do rather than taking the agenda of the Servant as your very own.

May God grant you the grace to understand His Word in all of its depth and beauty, and to come to see the Servant as your Saviour and God.
