Finding a Wife for Isaac - Some Lessons for Christian Courtship and Possibly Marriage

Throughout the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments we find lessons regarding relationships, courtship and marriage. Without these lessons we have what we see all around us - recreational dating and flirting, emotionalism, fantasy, sentimentality, and matchmaking by busybodies.
Lesson 1. A fellow-believer.
2. The one whom God intends.
3. With prayer.
4. Evidence of character.
5. Time for evaluation.
6. Sincerity of intention.
7. Spiritual enthusiasm.
8. Readiness for a new role.
Conclusion: Isaac meditating and praying; Rebekah willing and submitted; so they were blessed with love and a happy marriage. Therefore 'choose your love, and love your choice.'
