Sowing to the Spirit

Paul presents an easily understood principle – we reap what we sow. What is less easily understood is just how readily we who seek to be religious are actually sowing to the flesh. We sow seeds of self-righteousness, bitterness, and envy. They are subtle sins of the heart which we hide well behind a cloak of religion. Paul says it leads to corruption – like rotting meat it is disgusting. Paul says sow to the spirit. Be not weary in well doing. You will then reap the spiritual fruit.
