Auschwitz - A Foreshadowing Of Hell

On 27 January 1945, the gates of the notorious Nazi genocide factory, Auschwitz, were opened by the Russian Army. 4000 emaciated souls were liberated. Tragically, 1.1million others - mainly Jews - had already been executed and incinerated during the previous few years.

60 years on, and 700 Auschwitz survivors have returned to commemorate their liberation. Each felt the necessity to go back; “We have to remember.”

This message not only recalls the Holocaust, but urges men to solemnly consider that Auschwitz is a fearful preview of a lost eternity - a veritable foreshadowing of hell.
