Lingering Trouble

Sowing and reaping…

An individual who intentionally or ignorantly guides his own life is a fool guided by a fool. One in utter mutiny to the Lord… Proverbs 3:5-6

"He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, but whoever walks wisely will be delivered." Proverbs 28:26

Spurgeon would say:

"He who is his own guide is guided by a fool. He that trusts to his own understanding proves that he has no understanding. If you will be your own director, you will be directed to the place where you will have bitter cause to rue it forever and ever." ~ C. H. Spurgeon

It's easy to get to a place where all you can see is what you have sown for years, and currently reaping in your daily lives, but attribute it to what God isn't doing for you since you recently started doing life His way. Seeds take time to plant, cultivate, and harvest. And they will keep coming up and reseeding the ground they are cultivated in.

Learning how to distinguish and discern what God's doing and what you have done is crucial in your walk and worship.

We must recognize whose harvest and fruit is before us.

You won't praise Jesus for what you think the enemy is doing or that which you achieved on your own merits... it's not that you can't praise, because you can, but you won't praise Jesus if you can't see His hand at work in the hardships or healing. You will give credit to who you think is at work.

Unbelief is often disguised as a simple distraction that allows the circumstances to gain our focus and we miss out on the opportunity and joy to glorify Jesus in the hard things in life.

• Misinformation of who God is and how He works.
• Misinterpretation of His redeeming grace and who's
