The Mortification of Sin - Chapter 12 There may be some attributes of God which he himself has taught us how to explain, and has given us some help in controlling our expressions of them. Yet, when we have crafted our expressions and explanations, we still do not truly see the things themselves, or understand them at all. We simply are able to believe and admire. These things teach us to profess that God is infinite, omnipotent, and eternal.
